2025 season: 3,296 boats inspected at Pelican Lake landings

Committee:

The 2025 Clean Boats Clean Waters season closed on 19 October with 3,296 watercraft inspected at Pelican Lake landings.

  • State Landing, CTH G — 2,487 boats
  • Keelers Landing, CTH Q — 776 boats
  • Musky Mart, Hwy 45 — 33 boats

Inspectors talk to owners before launches and after retrievals, and the work is funded in part by the Wisconsin DNR’s Clean Boats Clean Waters grant. Alongside the staffed inspections, two I-LIDS camera systems operated at the DNR and Schoepke landings from early May until 19 October, capturing 9,581 videos between them. Two suspected invasive species violations were identified across the season. Camera costs are shared between the association and the Towns of Enterprise and Schoepke.

Pelican Lake has five public boat landings. If you launch or retrieve anywhere on the lake, inspect your trailer, drain your live wells, and leave nothing behind that came from another water body.
